PGPM HOW TO APPLY

Eligibility Criteria Admissions PGPM 2010-2011

  • All applicants are required to take GMAT/CAT before applying to Great Lakes Institute of Management.
  • For PGPM 2010-2011, Great Lakes Institute of Management will accept CAT scores of the years 2008 and 2009 only. Similarly, GMAT scores older than 2007 will not be accepted.
  • All applicants should have at least a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Full time work experience of minimum two years is desirable.
  • Outstanding graduates with less than two years of experience would be considered on a case to case basis.

Evaluation Process

Applicants for admission are evaluated based on GMAT/CAT (2008 and 2009) score, past academic performance, essays and letters of recommendation, and performance in the interview and group discussion.
Letters of recommendation are required to be submitted online along with the application. Recommendations should be from professionals and superiors with substantial work experience.

About the program:

Great Lakes' PGPM is a one year full time fully residential program targeted at people with work experience. The class of 2010-2011 will have 300 members housed in a 20-acre, eco friendly campus on the scenic East Coast Road near Chennai. Details sought in the application:

  • Marks obtained (with mark-sheets) in Class 10, 12, UG and PG (if applicable)
  • A digital photograph not exceeding 1MB in size, and which should fit in the frame provided in the application form
  • Special achievements/awards in academics or sports
  • CAT/GMAT Score
  • Employment related information
  • Essays

Option 1:

Great Lakes Institute of Management Office, Chennai:

  • The admission kits will be available in the above centers from the Second week of November, 2009.
  • Visit the nearest centre where Admission Kits are available
  • Make the payment (Rs 1500) and obtain the Admission Kit. The Admission Brochure will contain a unique 10 digit registration key
  • Use this unique key to register on the admission page http://www.greatlakes.edu.in/cc
  • Fill out the application form and submit it online.

Option 2: Online application:

Alternately, you can visit http://www.greatlakes.edu.in/cc make a credit card payment (Rs 1500) online, fill out the application form and submit it online.

NOTE: In both the cases, the recommendation letters will also have to be submitted online. There will be no hard copy in any admission related processing.

Recommendation letters:

  • Enter the details of your recommender on the online application form.
  • An email will be sent to the recommender soliciting his/her assessment of the candidate
  • The email id of the recommender must be the official email id.

  • Issue of application online begins from: Oct 16th, 2009
  • Last date for Submission: For GMAT (31/12/2009) & CAT 2008 - Jan 3, 2010 | For GMAT 2010 & CAT 2009 - Feb 7, 2010
